Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs (G-code, M-code) for lathe operations.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software to generate complex tool paths and machine code.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and manufacturing documentation.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy, prevent collisions, and optimize cycle times.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, 3D models, and specifications for machining requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience programming multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit).
• Expertise in G-code and M-code for manual program editing and optimization.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including GD&T.
• Solid understanding of cutting tools, workholding, and machining principles for various materials.
• Experience with machine simulation and verification software for program validation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with multi-axis or mill-turn programming.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling for fixture design or part modification.
• Familiarity with machine simulation software to optimize programs and prevent collisions.
• Knowledge of metrology and CMM inspection processes.
