Staff Enterprise Application Engineer
- Coordinate application development and operational support activities within a software DevOps pod of with contractor resources
- Apply data engineering expertise across team members and help with code development as needed
- Define application developer and operational support standards and create standard work documentation
- Assist in scoping and prioritizing application features across multiple Technical Product Managers and evaluate requests to determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration
- Assess skill and capacity gaps within DevOps pod
- Architect and design sound/supportable technical solutions to complex business requirements
- Provide support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality
- Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions
- Develop new application enhancements
- Document system changes
- Review technical designs to ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Train/Mentor less experienced resource
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 6 years.
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

- Previous data engineering experience and SQL skills are required
- Python skills desired but not required
- Understand the GEA Enterprise Data Lake ecosystem (Redshift, source ingestion, SQL data stitching)
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts and analyze system deficiencies
- Organized, thorough, and detail oriented
- Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Eager to learn, shares ideas, encourages and accepts feedback well

- Experience working with an offshore development team
