Job Description

The Conveyor Engineer plays a critical role in designing, coordinating, and overseeing conveyor systems across various manufacturing sites in the US. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional and dedicated conveyor teams and involves frequent travel and onsite support during different project phases including installation, maintenance, and upgrades. The role demands excellent communication skills to engage with suppliers and project stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration with assembly lines and optimal conveyor performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop conveyor systems, including chain skid and skillet technologies
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance
• Oversee installation and integration of conveyors within body shops and general assembly lines
• Support shutdown activities and be available for shift and holiday work as needed
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and participate in supplier and project meetings
• Travel frequently to various US sites to support projects and site mobility
• Monitor conveyor performance and implement optimizations and upgrades

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in conveyor engineering or related supplier environments
• Proficiency with conveyor technologies, specifically chain skid and skillet systems
• Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple project phases
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across diverse project participants

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Automotive industry experience
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and team collaboration experience
