What it's like to be a Service Technician at Service TechnicianAs a Full-Time Service Technician at Fox Hyundai Kia, you can expect an engaging daily routine. Your workweek will be Monday through Friday, with a day off scheduled mid-week to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance. Each day, you'll begin by reviewing service appointments and prioritizing repairs based on urgency. You'll diagnose vehicle issues, perform maintenance and repairs, and document your findings accurately. Collaborating with your teammates is essential, as you'll share insights and seek assistance when tackling more complex repairs.
You'll also participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on the latest automotive technology and service techniques. Are you a good fit for this Service Technician job?To thrive as a Full-Time Service Technician at Fox Hyundai Kia, you'll need a solid foundation of automotive skills and a passion for the industry. One year of related experience and/or training is vital, but an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. While Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory. A valid driver's license is essential to navigate customer vehicles safely.
Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools will set you apart, as you'll need to quickly assess and resolve issues effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring high-quality service. Additionally, having excellent communication skills will enable you to interact positively with both team members and customers. Enthusiasm for cars and commitment to teamwork will contribute significantly to your success in this role!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CERTIFICATES
- LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS preferred but not required.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license.
