Salary Range: $45,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Program machine parameters and adjust settings for precise material removal.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and quality control documentation.
• Select and prepare electrodes and workpieces according to job requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including Wire and/or Sinker EDM.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators for quality inspection.
• Ability to select appropriate cutting parameters, electrodes, and tooling based on material and part specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine alarms, process deviations, and perform basic preventative maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software for EDM programming or program modification
• Proficiency in advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
• Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine tools
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
