Test Engineer | Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $71,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for manufactured products.
• Identify, document, and track defects, working with development and production teams to resolve issues.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing on new and existing products.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks.
• Analyze test results and generate comprehensive reports for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the testing process.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues related to product testing.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in developing and executing test plans and procedures for manufactured products.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, performance, regression, integration testing).
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages relevant to manufacturing environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium or Cypress
• - Familiarity with SQL for database validation
• - Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) principles
• - Experience with Agile development methodologies
