Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration and verification of precision measurement equipment and gages.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
• Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using a variety of precision measuring tools.
• Document inspection results, calibration data, and maintain accurate records in compliance with quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with measurement equipment, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Support manufacturing and engineering teams by providing accurate measurement data and analysis.
• Assist in the development and improvement of metrology procedures and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other metrology equipment.
• Proficiency with a wide range of precision measurement hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Fundamental understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality management systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS scripting) or metrology data analysis software.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
• Proficiency in applying ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards to complex parts.
• Experience with optical metrology systems (e.g., laser scanners, vision systems) in addition to tactile CMMs.
