Summary
The Public Health & Health Sciences (PHHS) Department is seeking a part-time temporary team member to assist a faculty member in coordinating and executing a study about vision. This position will be from the end of March 2024 through approximately May 10, 2024 (7 weeks), for up to 20 hours per week. You will report directly to the faculty member.
Responsibilities*
- Coordinate and perform routing research tasks
- Library research
- Administer questionnaires, conduct interviews and vision screenings
- Facilitate communication between research study team, study sites, participants and optometrists
- Prepare reports of results or data presentations
- Assist in judging the validity of screening data
Required Qualifications*
- Graduation from a college or university (Associates or Bachelor's degree) with one (1) year of relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in the Greater Flint area
- Ability to tackle problems and find solutions
- Comfort and familiarity interacting with older adults
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
