At Merchant Automotive, we’ve been all-in on Duramax trucks since 2004. We’re looking for technicians who know light duty Duramax diesel, want to grow their skills, and care just as much about helping people as they do about turning wrenches.

• Diagnosing and repairing Duramax trucks, bumper to bumper (emissions, driveline, suspension—you name it)

• Performing proper testing and documentation, not just parts swapping

• Making honest, informed recommendations for repairs and scheduled maintenance

• Road testing and fully inspecting every vehicle

• Helping customers get the most life and reliability from their trucks

• Participating in continuous training (100+ hrs/year) to sharpen your skills

• Thinking creatively—whether it’s a better way to do the job or a new product idea for the Duramax world

• Staying hungry to understand the “why” behind failures, and always looking for ways to improve

What We’re Looking For:

• Michigan State Certified (required); ASE Certified (preferred)

• Must have your own tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay-$60,000-$150,000 pay based on experience

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
