We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Software Engineer. In this role, you will work to implement software integrations, including cloud-based integrations, event-driven architecture, serverless function microservices, and more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop cloud services which connect external systems, considering various factors such as performance, scalability, security, cost, and maintainability. Ensure clean, reliable integration of systems to ensure data integrity.
• Implement microservices to integrate into and out of commerce systems.
• Analyze client requirements to define frontend implementation strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other architects, developers, DevOps, and client stakeholders to learn about system requirements and design implementation details.
• Make recommendations on technology solutions throughout the development process.
• Perform architectural reviews to advise on performance, scalability, and cost optimization.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven expertise implementing scalable and robust solutions within cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
• Experience with caching, CDNs, and/or proxies such as Varnish, NGINX, Redis, Cloudfront, etc.
• Experience with JavaScript, specifically in Node.js backend environments.
• Experience in deploying JavaScript functions to cloud environments and serverless functions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Expertise in Azure services covering cloud functions, caching, and API and queue management.
• Experience with React, Remix, and/or Shopify Hydrogen.
• Experience working in e-commerce.
• Experience working in an agency setting.
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure-as-code.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree, Master's Degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

This role is expected to work on site at a client located in Detroit, Michigan.

Potential Salary Range: $75,000-$120,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
