Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Conduct design analysis (e.g., FEA) to ensure product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Prototype, test, and validate new designs, implementing necessary modifications and improvements.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements and cost targets.
• Investigate and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA).
• In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Proven ability to perform engineering calculations and basic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for design validation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
• Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
