Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new tooling, fixtures, and jigs for manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot tooling failures, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Optimize existing tooling designs for improved efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and extended lifespan.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and production requirements.
• Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of production tooling.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for tooling components.
• Conduct tool trials and validations to ensure functionality, quality, and process capability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Mastercam).
• Strong understanding of tooling processes such as injection molding, stamping, die casting, or machining.
• Experience in tool design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis and troubleshoot tooling issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis).
• Familiarity with G-code programming or CNC machine operation.
• Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
• Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
