Position Summary:
TerraVest Tanks MI LLC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize transportation operations through our affiliated fleet, Granby Transport USA LLC. This role serves as a vital link between production, transportation, and compliance, ensuring timely product deliveries, regulatory adherence, and optimal fleet performance. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, collaborative, and experienced in logistics coordination within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver & Schedule Coordination:
- Partner with the production team to develop and adjust delivery schedules that align with manufacturing timelines and customer requirements
- Coordinate daily routes and assignments for Granby Transport USA LLC drivers to maximize efficiency and reduce idle time
- Serve as the primary contact for both customers and drivers, delivering clear instructions and resolving real-time logistical issues
- Direct contact with customers ensuring delivery location, point of contact, order completeness, precise arrival date and expectations on the day of delivery
- Proactive customer engagement if any delivery exceptions occur or delays are eminent
- Maintain up to date inbound raw material purchase order arrival dates
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure fleet operations and drivers comply with MDOT, FMCSA, and other applicable regulations
- Maintain and monitor driver qualification files, hours-of-service (HOS), and electronic logging device (ELD) data
- Coordinate and document driver training, certifications, and safety initiatives
Fleet & Maintenance Management:
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs for trucks, booms, and trailers
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of maintenance activities and safety inspections
- Coordinate with vendors and internal maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and compliance checks
Administrative & Reporting Duties:
- Accurately maintain all shipping documentation, driver logs, compliance records, and maintenance data
- Utilize internal systems to track and report logistics performance, compliance metrics, and fleet status
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports and support cost-saving initiatives through efficient routing and proactive maintenance planning
- Other administrative duties as needed

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, fleet coordination, or transportation management (experience in manufacturing is a plus)
- Strong understanding of MDOT and FMCSA regulations
- Familiarity with dispatching software, ELDs, and transportation management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- CDL or prior experience working directly with CDL drivers
- Experience in DOT safety audit preparation
- Background in a hybrid manufacturing/transportation setting
