People's Express is a non-profit public transportation company focused on meeting the needs of people and providing low-cost, safe and reliable transportation. We are excited to add team members who want to help the community and make a difference in people's lives!

People's Express Utility Driver:

Driver's will transport clients to medical appointments and personal appointments such as the grocery store. We serve all people but have a special focus on clients that are low-income, disabled, or are senior citizens to keep them independent and an active part of their community. We require a minimum of a chauffeur license but are looking for skilled CDL drivers! This job requires patience and sensitivity to clients.

CDL License Bus Driver

Description:

A People's Express CDL Driver will be operating vehicles of all sizes from cars, minivans, Transit Vans, and Cutaway Busses up to 33 passengers. They will be transporting clients to and from work, medical appointments, shopping trips, and personal events. A driver will be working with all types of people. Most of People's Express' ridership is composed of seniors and people with disabilities. Vehicles are equipped with lifts to accommodate clients who use mobility devices. We are looking for a team player who is good with people and will enjoy coming to work and helping our clients. We would like people who understand the sensitivity required to work with our clients.

Utility drivers will assist in other areas when not driving. This could include cleaning and mopping buses, property maintenance and delivering/picking up vehicles locally and other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum Chauffeur license.
• A good driving record.
• Required to pass a DOT drug and alcohol screening.
• Holder of a CDL medical card or able to obtain one.
• Monday - Friday - 2 shifts available
• Able to board and secure clients who use mobility devices.
• Ensure the safety of passengers during transportation

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 - $21.00
