Position Summary

This role is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about benefits and enjoys working across a diverse client base. Approximately 90% of this role is dedicated to benefits administration , making it a great fit for someone who wants to deepen their expertise and play a critical role in client success.

You’ll partner closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and external vendors to deliver a seamless, compliant, and high-quality benefits experience.

Lead Benefits Administration (Primary Focus)

• Own the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and 401(k)
• Lead open enrollment from start to finish, configuration, communication, and employee support
• Conduct monthly billing audits and proactively resolve discrepancies
• Oversee COBRA administration and ensure full regulatory compliance
• Support FMLA and leave tracking as it relates to benefits eligibility
• Serve as a trusted resource for clients and employees, resolving questions with confidence and care
• Partner with carriers, brokers, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
• Maintain accurate and clean benefits data within HRIS systems

Deliver Exceptional Client Experience

• Provide high-touch, responsive support across a multi-client PEO environment
• Interpret and clearly communicate benefits plans, eligibility, and compliance requirements
• Support audits, reporting, and ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Collaborate Across Teams

• Partner closely with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and client billing
• Support onboarding and benefits enrollment processes
• Work cross-functionally to ensure a seamless client and employee experience
• Maintain strong data integrity and documentation within HR systems

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus

Experience

• 3–7+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on benefits administration
• Experience supporting multiple clients or business units preferred
• PEO, HRO, or broker experience is highly valued

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of employee benefits, compliance, and regulations
• Experience with COBRA, open enrollment, billing audits, and leave administration
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Exceptional customer service mindset; you’re responsive, solutions-oriented, and proactive
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office (PrismHR experience is a plus)
