Database Administrator

Hybrid Role (2 days per week on site)

12 month contract

Database Administrator
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong Oracle expertise to support enterprise-level systems. This role is hands-on and requires a mix of technical depth, problem-solving, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain enterprise Oracle databases with high availability (HA) configurations.
  
• Manage Oracle Data Guard, Golden Gate, and other disaster recovery solutions.
  
• Perform RMAN backup, recovery, and advanced security management.
  
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning to ensure optimal efficiency.
  
• Design and implement logical and physical database models, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  
• Support database-related installations, upgrades, and security standards.
  
• Collaborate with application teams to evaluate new data elements, support integrations, and maintain data dictionaries.
  
• Develop and execute database search strategies, storage requirements, and recovery procedures.
  
• Provide technical guidance and respond to user/system inquiries regarding database performance and access.
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years with Oracle, PL/SQL, Linux/Unix in database administration roles.
  
• Strong experience with Multitenant Oracle database architecture.
  
• Hands-on with Oracle Data Guard, Golden Gate, and RMAN.
  
• Proven background in advanced Oracle security and disaster recovery.
  
• Ability to design, model, and maintain enterprise database systems.
  
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
