Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Muskegon that are seeking HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles within the manufacturing facility.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Administer HR programs such as compensation, benefits, workers' compensation, and leave management.
• Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and safety training programs specific to the manufacturing environment.
• Maintain accurate HR records and utilize HRIS for data management, reporting, and analytics.
• Support managers in developing and implementing talent development and retention strategies for the manufacturing workforce.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA regulations.
• Proven ability to manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations.
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and administrative roles.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and experience with payroll processing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and EHS best practices in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse workforce
• Prior experience with labor relations or collective bargaining
