Emergency Room RN Job Details

• Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan (49007) – Michigan healthcare jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, Emergency Department (59 beds, 49 rooms)
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800–$1840 per week
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays required
• Float Requirement: None
• Call Requirement: None
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred)
• Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, TNCC
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered)
• References required

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department
• Respond to trauma and critical care situations as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social services, pharmacy, and clinical support staff
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in orientation modules and ongoing annual training
• Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
