Facilities Manager | Plainwell, MI
Salary Range: $89,000 - $135,000 depending on experience

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Plainwell that are seeking skilled Facilities Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of building maintenance, equipment upkeep, and infrastructure systems.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Manage facility budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning.
- Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and vendors for services and projects.
- Optimize factory layouts and space utilization to support production efficiency and future growth.
- Lead facility-related projects, such as expansions, renovations, and new equipment installations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive technical knowledge of industrial building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and production equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to manage facility projects, budgets, and external vendor relationships.
- Strong background in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs and capital improvement plans.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles applied to facilities management.
- LEED AP or similar sustainability certification.
- Proficiency with advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS) and industrial control systems.
- PMP certification or strong track record in managing large-scale capital projects/expansions.
