Position Overview

MCIA is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Office Manager with a strong focus on accounting to oversee financial operations and support administrative functions. This role is perfect for someone with excellent organizational skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Financial Management

• Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
• Manage month-end closing procedures and prepare financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities as required.

Administrative Duties

• Answer and route phone calls, assist members with inquiries, and process orders.
• Manage mailings, office supplies, files, and seed directories.

Meeting and Event Support

• Schedule meetings, take notes, and assist with planning events such as the annual membership meeting and holiday party.

Other

• Provide general administrative support and handle clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Sage Accounting Software.
• Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management is required.
• Experience in customer service or administrative roles is preferred.
• Event planning experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
