Shipping Clerk - 1st Shift - $24/hr - Dexter, MI

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming and outgoing materials with accuracy—verify, count, and prepare for production
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move and organize inventory
• Stage orders for shipment using FedEx, UPS, and other carriers
• Perform computer-based data entry and maintain inventory accuracy using scanning tools or warehouse systems
• Complete paperwork and shipping documentation thoroughly and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Report any safety concerns or inventory discrepancies immediately
• Work entirely on your feet in a warm chemical facility—odors and fumes present

Qualifications/Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or material handling
• Forklift certification and strong equipment handling experience
• Proficient with computers—must know how to navigate shipping systems (FedEx, UPS), enter inventory data, and manage paperwork
• Experience with kanban, visual systems, and part number identification a plus
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with strong math and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced setting
• Sense of humor and a strong work ethic encouraged!
