General Ledger Accountant
Venteon Finance is currently seeking a GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT for a well established and stable construction related client in Oakland County.
REQUIREMENTS of the General Ledger Accountant role
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance2+ years of General Ledger / Staff Accounting experience
Experience with complex reconciliations
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
ERP Systems Experience
RESPONSIBILITIES of the General Ledger Accountant role
Maintain and ensure accuracy of the general ledgerPrepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare internal financial statements, supporting schedules, and month-end workpapers.
Support payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions as needed
Assist with year-end audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries
Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting workflows
