What you bring:

• Valid and current Michigan special education licensure
• Proven experience providing instruction and accommodations to students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with teachers, families, and support staff
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) effectively
• Flexible mindset and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
• Previous middle school teaching experience (preferred but not required)

You’ll be responsible for:

• Instructing, inspiring, and advocating for middle school students with special needs in an onsite setting
• Designing and adapting lessons tailored to individual student strengths and challenges
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with regulations
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student’s success
• Engaging families in the educational process and providing ongoing support and communication
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom climate
• Participating in professional development and school activities as needed
