Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs.
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials and components.
• Coordinate with production planning to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedules.
• Develop and implement strategies for efficient material flow, warehousing, and logistics.
• Lead demand forecasting activities and integrate them into material planning processes.
• Utilize and optimize ERP/MRP systems for accurate material planning and control.
• Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with purchasing on supplier relationship management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, and procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in inventory management principles (e.g., JIT, MRP, Kanban) and demand forecasting.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material planning and control.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience developing and motivating staff.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management abilities.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced planning systems (APS) or business intelligence (BI) tools.
• Proven track record in international sourcing and logistics management.
