Architectural technician / designer

The Position

As an Architectural CAD Technician / Designer you will be responsible for coordinating with senior staff on projects ranging from small scale addition renovations to large estates, mixed-use buildings, and other commercial projects. The Architectural CAD Technician / Designer must coordinate and facilitate the completion of construction documents with a high degree of technical proficiency and creativity.

• Easily communicates and articulates through challenging technical and design issues, offering a knowledge of constructible solutions.

• Demonstrates a proficiency in assembling complex and technical construction documentation.

• Flexibility in partnering and learning from senior staff on a wide variety of tasks including, presentations, maintaining CAD references, site analyses, code review, etc.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited school (Preferred but not necessary)

• 4+ years of experience with assembling construction documents.

• Exceptional knowledge of construction methods, particularly in Florida and Michigan

• Strong Communication Skills and ability to quickly adapt to the firm’s documentation methods.

• Proficient with ArchiCAD

• Candidates with a strong background in BIM systems like Revit, and a willingness to learn ArchiCAD will be considered, but must demonstrate exceptional knowledge of Residential Construction and Documentation.

• Interest in other adjacent disciplines a plus
