Server Assistant

Job Summary

PostBoy is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Seasonal Server Assistant (Busser) to join our front-of-house team. As the ultimate support system for our service staff, you will play a critical role in maintaining the rhythm, cleanliness, and overall flow of the dining room. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in creating a pristine, welcoming atmosphere for our guests.Responsibilities

• Table Turnover: Efficiently clear, clean, and sanitize tables, chairs, and booths immediately after guests depart to ensure quick seating.

• Table Resetting: Reset tables meticulously according to PostBoy specification guidelines (glassware, silverware, linens).

• Service Support: Assist servers by delivering water, clearing empty plates or glassware between courses (pre-bussing), and replenishing supplies.

• Dining Room Maintenance: Maintain the overall cleanliness of the dining room floor, service stations, and restroom areas throughout the shift.

• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with hosts, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.

• Support Kitchen: Server Assistants will, at times, be asked to assist with running of food to tables in addition to their support of servers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 0–1 years of experience in a restaurant environment. We are fully willing to train individuals with the right attitude and work ethic!

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for long periods, and comfortably lift and carry loaded bus tubs or trays weighing up to 30 lbs.

• Schedule: This is a seasonal role. Flexibility to work a mix of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

• Skills: A strong "hospitality-first" mindset, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
