Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections of first-off production parts.
• Verify part conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Utilize a range of precision measurement tools including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Generate accurate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) following industry standards like AS9102 or customer requirements.
• Document all inspection results, including identification and reporting of non-conformances.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD models.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address and resolve identified quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Demonstrated expertise in using a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMM).
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience preparing and reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), preferably adhering to AS9102 standards.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent certification.
• Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
