NURSE INTERN PROGRAM

Aspirus Iron River Hospital is excited to invite student nurses to apply and gain hands-on experience by working one-on-one with an experienced nurse!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• 1:1 experience working with an RN

• Opportunities to enhance nursing skills

• Increase understanding of nursing processes

• Build critical thinking skills

ELIGIBILITY : Registered Nurse students who have completed at least:

• 2 semesters of an ADN program at the time the Internship begins

  OR

• 3 years of a BSN program at the time the Internship begins

HOURS :

• 10-week paid internship, flexible, occasional status

• You may work up to 36 hours per week as your school schedule permits

• PAY RATE: $18.00/hour [no shift or weekend differentials apply]

Aspirus Health begins Registered Nurse Internships three times throughout the calendar year at ALL Aspirus hospital locations in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

Aspirus Iron River Hospital & Clinics is one of four hospitals in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the Aspirus family.

With 300+ employees, Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics serves people through a 25-bed hospital, physician clinics, dialysis center, rehab fitness centers, ambulance service, and home care and hospice. The outpatient part of this practice is located in a stand-alone clinic. This allows the provider to work independently yet have the specialist support and financial security from the entire Aspirus health care system. The critical access hospital has an average daily census of 9-10 patients.

The hospital and clinics provide numerous services and has up to date technology, including a 64 slice CT and a mobile MRI. The medical staff includes family practitioners, internal medicine, general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, radiologist, emergency medicine physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. Visiting medical staff includes ophthalmologist, oncologist, cardiologist, ENT, podiatrist, and nephrologist.
