Lead a high-volume cardiac surgery service with strong referrals, excellent support, and the opportunity to shape long-term growth across two sites. The University of Michigan and Michigan Medicine seek a BE/BC Cardiac Surgeon to serve as the Inaugural Chief of the MyMichigan Health Cardiac Surgery Program, a faculty role based at MyMichigan Health in Midland, Michigan. Opportunity Highlights

• Develop a cardiac program with excellent support
• Step into strong clinical volume and referrals
• Lead as the inaugural Chief of the MyMichigan Health Cardiac Surgery Program
• Shape a cardiac-only service line with 25% administrative time
• Hold University of Michigan faculty employment and benefits while practicing at MyMichigan Health
• Lead team building and partner across MyMichigan Health and Michigan Medicine to build a unified cardiac surgery program
• Direct 600+ annual open-heart and structural heart procedures across 2 sites
• Lead 320+ open cases and 200+ transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures annually
• Grow a cardiac surgery group planned to expand to 3 surgeons
• Build with interventional, heart failure, and electrophysiology specialists, plus dedicated support staff
• Work with cardiac-trained anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and a dedicated structural heart team
