Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
• Document inspection results accurately, create inspection reports, and maintain comprehensive quality records.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition procedures.
• Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Conduct calibration and maintenance checks on inspection and test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support production teams by providing guidance on quality standards and resolving immediate quality concerns.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or assurance role.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving quality issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
• Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis.
• Internal auditing experience or training (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Experience with calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment.
