Position: Construction Data Center Supervisor

Location: Saline, MI

Contract to Hire

Shift: 1st Shift

Rate: $35-45 an hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mission-critical data center projects. This role is responsible for managing timelines, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment of data center infrastructure, including construction, expansion, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end project management for data center builds, expansions, and upgrades

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations

Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, IT, operations) and external vendors/contractors

Oversee construction activities, including MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems

Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations

Manage procurement of equipment (servers, cooling systems, power distribution, etc.)

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and executive leadership

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Support commissioning, testing, and handover of data center facilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, IT, or related experience
• 5–10+ years of project management experience, preferably in data centers or mission-critical environments
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, network systems)
• Experience managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
• Knowledge of industry standards (Uptime Institute Tier standards, ANSI/TIA, etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
