Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and validate CMM inspection programs from engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, 3D models, and GD&T specifications.
• Set up and fixture parts on CMMs, ensuring proper alignment and measurement conditions.
• Generate detailed inspection reports and analyze measurement data for compliance.
• Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs, resolving measurement issues and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams on inspection strategies and problem-solving.
• Maintain and optimize CMM programs to improve efficiency and accuracy of inspections.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of metrology principles and various inspection techniques.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with various CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model interpretation.
• Experience with other advanced metrology equipment (e.g., laser scanners, vision systems).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Ability to design or contribute to the design of CMM fixturing.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar quality certification.
