IT Systems Administrator | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot server, network, and critical manufacturing application infrastructure.
• Provide expert technical support to production staff, resolving IT issues promptly to minimize operational downtime.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols to protect manufacturing data, intellectual property, and operational technology (OT) systems.
• Perform routine system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration for critical manufacturing systems.
• Support and maintain shop floor IT equipment, including industrial PCs, specialized hardware, and connectivity for production machinery.
• Collaborate with operations teams to integrate and optimize IT and operational technology (OT) systems.
• Manage IT asset inventory and maintain comprehensive documentation for all manufacturing IT systems and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VPNs) and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and robust backup/disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) environments, including SCADA systems, PLCs, and industrial network protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues quickly to ensure 24/7 operational uptime.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Operational Technology (OT) systems and networks (SCADA, PLCs, MES).
• Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions like SAP or Oracle.
• Understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles and best practices (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443).
• Experience supporting IoT devices or Industry 4.0 initiatives in a production environment.
