Practice Overview

The Multidisciplinary Trauma Clinic is a comprehensive clinic that supports West Michigan only level one trauma center. Our clinic includes Burn, Orthopedic Trauma, Acute Care Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Our goal is to provide convenient and comprehensive care to patients who have suffered a traumatic injury. For convenience of the patient, we have the ability to offer multiple appointments with different trauma specialty providers in one location. We have a social worker, nurse navigation services, collaborative amputation clinic, and on-site x-ray services.

We are a very fast paced office. Teamwork is a must in our space where we all strive to deliver exceptional care to our patients who have been involved in a traumatic incident. Practice manager and supervisor strives to make it an environment where all team members feel safe, can have fun, and enjoy coming to work.

Scope of Work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days
• One of the following required within 120 days:
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
