Senior Electrical Engineer

A leading consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in building systems design. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can manage electrical engineering services for projects from concept through completion. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, leadership capabilities, and a high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Proficient in all major aspects of electrical engineering for the building and construction industry , including:
• Power distribution design
• Analysis and evaluation of existing electrical systems
• Emergency and standby generator system design
• Interior and exterior lighting design & controls
• Site lighting and photometric analysis
• Fire alarm and security system design
• Structured cabling, sound, and communication systems
• LEED design/energy-efficient engineering (preferred)
• AutoCAD and Revit proficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all electrical engineering services throughout the full project lifecycle
• Prepare and review electrical construction documents and plans
• Develop and update project specifications
• Review electrical shop drawings and submittals
• Respond to RFIs and coordinate with project teams
• Conduct on-site construction observations to monitor progress and ensure design compliance
• Manage and mentor electrical designers, drafters, and support staff
• Communicate effectively with clients, owners, architects, and contractors
• Prepare project budgets, create engineering proposals, and support client relationship development.
