Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise calibration and verification of measurement tools and equipment.
• Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using various metrology instruments.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated measurement systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and quality standards to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Document and maintain detailed records of calibration activities, inspection results, and equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with measurement equipment and processes, implementing corrective actions.
• Support production and engineering teams by providing measurement data and metrology expertise.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with calibration procedures and maintaining measurement equipment
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and data analysis software

Bonus Qualifications

• CMM or Vision System programming experience
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Experience utilizing statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or similar continuous improvement training
• Experience in the design or fabrication of measurement fixtures
