Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and dies for various manufacturing processes.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and quality checks to ensure setup accuracy and product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or operational issues during setup and initial production runs.
• Optimize machine parameters and processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Document setup procedures, changes, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Collaborate with production operators and engineers to ensure smooth transitions and resolve production challenges.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setup Technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to perform machine setups, changeovers, and basic preventative maintenance.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality control standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Forklift or material handling certification.
