Maple Manor Rehab Center is currently looking for Registered/Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) mainly night shifts to join our team!

Job Type: Night shift (7pm-7am); alternating weekends, holidays

Duties and Responsibilities

· Provides care to patients with respiratory insufficiency and related complications.

· Performs ventilator support, with appropriate monitoring of patient and assessment of ability to maintain reliable spontaneous ventilation including initiation and maintenance, Suctioning.

.Must be able and willing to help the nurse and aide with repositioning patients and with changing clothes/briefs when needed.

· Functions as part of the direct patient care team to provide overall quality care and serves as a resource and specialist to patients, all patient care givers and physicians.

· Collaborate with the care team in the planning, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating of all respiratory care. Provide education of respiratory care to patient/family. Perform basic quality assessment functions and develop a plan to help improve patient care.

· Respond immediately to all “code” calls. Maintain patient’s airway while providing ventilation and other services (e.g., blood gas interpretation, airway suctioning, etc.). Make recommendations for treatment modification as needed.

· Ensure adherence to all infection control standards through practicing BSI, proper cleaning and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

· Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required

· Current and valid RRT or CRT license

· 2+ years’ active therapy experience required;

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work collaboratively and with minimal supervision

• Respiratory therapy: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• RRT
• BLS Certification
