Salary Range: $52,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Load and unload workpieces and electrodes, ensuring proper fixturing and alignment.
• Adjust machine parameters such as current, voltage, and pulse settings to optimize machining processes.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or machine faults to maintain production.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the EDM machine and work area.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) for quality inspection.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting common operational issues.
• Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with other precision machining processes (e.g., CNC milling, turning).
• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering blueprints and GD&T.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for model viewing or program verification.
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
