Veterinary Technician
Carbon County Veterinary Hospital, a dynamic mixed animal practice located in
Rawlins, Wyoming, is seeking a full-time veterinary technician to join our team. We are
committed to fostering the human-animal bond and providing exemplary veterinary care
for both companion animals and large animals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a
cooperative and positive approach when working with veterinarians, clients, and support
staff. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective
interaction within our organization. Proficiency in computer skills is also required.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Perform diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory work.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Monitor animal patients during treatments and recovery periods.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Provide compassionate care and support to animals in the clinic.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care practices.
Education/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited veterinary technician program
One year of veterinary hospital experience is preferred.
Salary will be determined based on the applicant's experience. Our comprehensive
