We are searching for a Weekend Childcare Teacher who is passionate about making Saturdays and Sundays exciting and enriching for children. Youll provide engaging activities, loving supervision, and a well-structured environment that keeps kids safe, entertained, and learning. If you thrive in a fast-paced, playful atmosphere and love helping children build social skills, explore creativity, and have fun, this role is for you! What Were Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Child development coursework or previous experience in a daycare, school, or childcare setting is a plus!
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills to connect with children, parents, and staff.
- Energetic, fun, and creativekids should be excited for their weekends with you!
- Able to actively engage in physical play (bending, lifting, and moving with children).
- Team player who is patient, reliable, and always puts the children first.
Plan & Lead Fun Activities
- Organize interactive games, hands-on crafts, and creative learning experiences to keep children engaged.
- Foster an environment where kids can express themselves, explore, and grow.
- Ensure each child feels safe, valued, and included.
- Provide hands-on guidance to encourage positive social skills and independence.
- Assist with meal prep and ensure nutritious, well-balanced snacks and meals are served.
- Encourage a positive mealtime experience, helping kids with table manners and conversation.
- Implement gentle, effective behavior management techniques to promote respect and kindness.
- Help children navigate social interactions and build friendships.
- Provide parents with updates on their childs weekend activities, achievements, and overall well-being.
- Address concerns promptly and professionally to maintain strong parent relationships.
- Follow strict safety protocols, including check-in/check-out procedures and emergency responses.
- Keep play areas, classrooms, and common spaces clean, organized, and ready for action.
- Document childrens activities, behavior notes, and any incidents to ensure clear communication with staff and families.
- $13 - $15/hr based on experience
