Are you our Spare Parts Technician?

This role reports directly to the Spare Parts Manager at our Atlas Copco-Grayling, MI facility. This position is responsible for responding to parts order requests, communicating order statuses, releasing orders for production and shipment and maintaining accurate spare parts inventory. Your ability to prioritize and respond to order requests and communicate with customers and internal staff, while focusing on the details, is key for success in this role.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

• Read, create and respond to customer requests for quotes
• Follow-up with internal departments on order status, and relay order statuses to customers in a timely manner
• Enter orders in appropriate inventory tracking, purchase order and quote systems
• Release orders to machine shop by creating release documents and running prints using AutoCAD
• Release inventory orders for shipment
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date parts inventory
• Perform other spare parts department duties as assigned
• Professionally and efficiently respond to customer and internal personnel inquiries via phone, email or Microsoft Teams
• Maintain and verify feed tubing inventory levels
• Assist with some parts assembly as needed

To Succeed, You Will Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate fundamental math proficiency and mechanical and technical drawing understanding.
• Introductory knowledge of CAD software
• Ability to use Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, Teams
• Display strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
