Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Help Desk Response: IT Support & Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients and internal staff. Your primary duties will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, responding to user inquiries, and performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. Under the direction of the Director of IT, you will support end-user hardware, install and update software applications, and provide technical support to end users on hardware and applications at Shanty Creek Resorts.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Document all support interactions and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of computer systems and software applications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, virus scans, and backups.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support and maintenance.
- Required to learn and fully understand applications and their configurations, to be able to provide in-depth support as well as implement necessary changes to maximize business usage efforts.
Professional Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related field strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used software applications required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- A combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work independently of all supervision.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- Work is performed entirely outdoors with exposure to all elements: i.e., extreme cold temperatures, snow and rain.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 to 100 lbs.
- Work is performed 7 days/week. Incumbents in this position are required to work any hours needed to keep the Ski Operations going in the winter months.

- Utilize all tools provided to ensure that prompt and correct service and information is being given to our guests.
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, maintaining the highest standards of guest service in their interactions with fellow employees, vendors, and most importantly our guests.
