Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and CAD models to determine project requirements.
• Calculate accurate material, labor, and overhead costs for manufacturing processes.
• Develop comprehensive and competitive price quotes for customers.
• Source and obtain quotes from suppliers for raw materials and outsourced services.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify cost efficiencies and potential risks.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to refine estimates.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software with current pricing.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly), materials, and production times.
• Proven capability to accurately calculate material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating software, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with specific ERP/MRP systems relevant to manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model viewing and basic measurements.
• Experience with dedicated estimating software platforms.
