PrideStaff is currently seeking a Tool repairer. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and assembling parts to create or repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and dies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lays out, fits, and assembles parts to make repair cutting tools, jogs, fixtures, gauges, dies or machinists’ handtools.
• Sets up and operates all tool room equipment.
• Studies blueprints to determine machining to be done and plans layout and assembly, or copies existing parts.
• Produces new tools, parts, etc. for machines and equipment.
• Repairs/rewords tools, dies, machine parts ad performs similar work.
• Makes inspection when required of parts, tools, etc.
• Performs bench work related to the job assigned.
• Supplies own tools normally used in a journeyman’s trade.
• Responsible for lubrication, maintenance and car of tool room equipment.
• May assist General Maintenance or Machine Repair/Rebuild Person in measuring, fitting,
• installation, or replacement of parts where his skills are required.
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area and machines.
• Reports to supervision unusual difficulties or conditions regarding machines, tools, and equipment.
• Completes job or daily job card. Assist in training new hires or apprentices.

• Qualifications (Required):
• Education: High School Diploma
• Certification: Journeyman’s Card; or eight years related experience, technical degree and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to acquire Journeyman’s card.
