Wilderness Trails Zoo is hiring dependable, enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the annual Holiday Lights Drive-Through event. We are currently seeking Traffic Leads and General Traffic Control Staff to help keep guests safe and traffic flowing smoothly through our spectacular light display.

Positions Available

Traffic Lead

The Traffic Lead oversees nightly traffic operations, assists with lighting setup, and provides direction to the team.
Responsibilities include:

Supervising and coordinating traffic control staff

Ensuring smooth traffic flow and guest safety

Operating and maintaining lighted signs, cones, and related electrical components

Performing minor electrical troubleshooting (extension cords, light strands, fuses, breakers, etc.)

Communicating effectively with zoo management and team leads

Additional Requirements:

Must possess basic electrical skills

Previous leadership or event coordination experience preferred

General Traffic Control Staff

Traffic Control team members guide guests safely through the zoo’s lighted route while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include:

Directing vehicles safely and efficiently

Providing clear, friendly instructions to guests

Setting up cones, signage, and lighted traffic devices

Maintaining communication with leads and supervisors

Representing Wilderness Trails Zoo with professionalism and positivity

General Requirements (All Positions)

Must be 18 years or older

Must pass a drug screening and background check

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (snow, cold, rain, etc.)

Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks

Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule & Pay

Seasonal employment: Mid-November through early February

Evening shifts: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Weekend and holiday availability required

Competitive hourly pay (based on experience and position)
