Grand Traverse Ophthalmology Clinic (GTOC), an independent practice serving Northern Michigan for nearly 90 years, seeks a skilled and compassionate Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist to join our expanding team. While we welcome applications from accomplished general ophthalmologists, we have immediate opportunities for candidates with fellowship training or demonstrated expertise in Cornea or Oculoplastics .

Our comprehensive referral network of optometrists, primary care physicians, and urgent care centers across the region ensures robust patient volume from day one. A retiring cornea and oculoplastic specialist within our group creates an opportunity for immediate full clinic integration.

Practice Overview

Grand Traverse Ophthalmology Clinic maintains its independence as a physician-owned practice, free from private equity ownership. This autonomy allows us to prioritize patient care, physician lifestyle, and clinical excellence without external pressures.

• 6 ophthalmologists and 7 optometrists
• Locations in Traverse City and Petoskey, Michigan
• Shared call schedule of approximately 1:10
• Access to the state's largest multispecialty surgery center
• Established referral relationships throughout Northern Michigan

Our practice culture strongly supports long-term physician partnerships. After 1-2 years of dedicated service, qualified physicians are eligible for partnership consideration with no blue sky buy-in requirement . Partnership opportunities include equity participation in:

• Clinical operations
• Surgery center ownership
