Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a manufacturing industry client in Hastings Michigan who is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for a Staff Accountant career who are ready to start right away or in the next few weeks. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with month-end close, support inventory and fixed asset management, and more.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Month-End Close – prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Accounts Payable & Vendor Support – manage cash flow and payment processes
• Cost Accounting – track direct/indirect costs, support cost roll and cycle counts
• Inventory & Fixed Asset Management – monitor inventory balances and maintain asset ledgers
• Ad Hoc Reporting & Problem Solving – prepare reports and resolve accounting discrepancies

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Have progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Be proficient in ERP systems and general ledger functions
• Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
