Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Retail in Bay City, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for visitors and staff. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for suspicious conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and key access points within the retail premises to support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and patrons.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency responders when appropriate, following established guidelines.
- Support crowd management and provide directions or assistance to visitors as needed within the retail environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
