Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.
• Create and maintain accurate NC programs, setup sheets, and tooling lists.
• Troubleshoot and debug programs during first-article runs and production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to refine processes.
• Ensure programs meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Perform post-processing and simulation to verify program accuracy and collision avoidance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360) for 3-axis and multi-axis milling.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming, with ability to perform manual edits.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated knowledge of tooling, workholding, material properties, and various machining strategies.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CNC mill programming within a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CAM features such as 5-axis programming or complex surfacing.
• Proficiency in dedicated machining simulation and verification software (e.g., Vericut, NCSIMUL).
• Ability to design or specify custom workholding fixtures.
• Knowledge of post-processor development or modification.
